The Rise and Fall of My Pants Tour: November 17, 2011 (Part One)

This post will be in multiple parts because my last two posts on my concert experiences have been way too long for my liking. Also, for this one I have pictures, videos, and will be linking songs to each of the bands.
~~~~~~~~~
If it wasn’t for the fact that it was a half day at school I don’t think I wouldn’t have been able to go to this concert. When I first got the okay to go I thought I’d be missing the 17th and spending the day in Portland but turns out I had to go. I went to school and was stoked. I ran into Kierra in the hall and started jumping and fangirling.. people started judging us-- whatever. I was totally on top of it in Geometry, a class I never pay any attention in, and actually got the assignment done before the end up class. As the end of the school day neared I became more and more hyper. When I got home I was ready within minutes. My madre was taking Kierra and I and didn’t get out of work until one. This made me extremely impatient. It got to the point where I was saying things like “MOMMY WHERE ARE YOUUUUU!!?!?!!?!” (I haven’t called my madre ‘mommy’ since I was 12)
Once madre got home we drove to pick up Kierra. When getting back into the car my pants caught on something and ripped. -.- Ugh, thankfully we were super close to my house and drove back there.
I swear the radio only played songs from 2008 or ones by Avril Lavigne. Oi! We got to the venue at around 4 and the doors didn’t open until 6. This didn’t matter to me. I’ve waited in line for six hours, in the middle of February, in 20˚ weather. There was about 30 people in front of us and that made me super happy (: Three members of Paradise Fears came up and talked to us-- they were so cute!-- and I felt bad cause I didn’t have any money to buy their album. One wanted to cut down a tree and use it as fire wood because it was “so cold”. After about an hour of waiting I had managed to befriend the people standing behind us and asked them to hold our place while Kierra and I ran to the Starbucks across the street. When we crossed the road someone honked at us and starting yelling-- it was Carly and her mom. I thought it was a stranger saying “Wait for the light!” and I was about to shout back “THE LIGHT IS GREEN FOR PEDESTRIANS! I HAVE THE RIGHT AWAY, IDIOT!” then I saw Carly in the passenger seat and decided against it. Don’t want to give a bad first impression, right? When we came back from Starbucks there was these two preacher guys shouting at everyone who walked by. Finally, two guys got fed up with the preachers, went across the street, and made out in front of them. I didn't see any of it, all I heard was everyone  clapping and cheering and the preachers yelling "HOMOSEXUALITY IS A SIN!!" over and over again.
At six o’clock the line starting moving and they let people in. It was honestly the easiest venues to get into. They didn’t to a body check or anything. Just scanned your ticket and let you in-- if it was valid. We got in and ran to the floor. We got an amazing spot to the left of the stage about 10 feet from the barrier. We had to wait another hour before the show but that was nothing. They had music playing and a lot of people were singing along to it. Paradise Fears had there stuff set up already and OH MY GOSH THEIR DRUMSET CHANGED COLORS!! I want that set so badly. I don’t play drums or anything, though. They’d just sit in my room and change colors. I wouldn’t even learn to play because I’d be too scared to break them.
It took me forever to notice this because I'm short.
Last night (:
The concert was hands down amazing. I'll post about it when I have the ability to function properly. (:
Right now all I want to do is sleep for a month. I've been up for over 24 hours and am running on pure concert high* and the two hours of sleep I got on Wednesday night. I'm not as physically tired as I am mentally.
*concert high: The pumped-up, hyped-up feeling one gets after attending an awesome concert or show that last for a few days, weeks, and sometimes even months that is eventually replaced with withdrawal symptoms.
ONLY LIKE 33 HOURS UNTIL I'M IN THE SAME BUILDING AS ALL TIME LOW, AHHH
Clearly I'm freaking out.
Motionless In White-- Immaculate Misconception
So I'm not the biggest Motionless In White fan but man can they make amazing music videos.
If you were brave enough to watch this and for some reason became offended by its content, please read the description box of the video and this:
They may be "scary" by they are the nicest, most down to earth people, I've ever met.
haha, Mrs. Heath thought that I had the same taste in music as someone else who wanted to do a music topic.
Sacred Ceremony Tour- July 19, 2010
 This is my first concert. It's, again, long. Sorry. I love how I can write a bunch about this but I can't even write a half page for an English essay.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Oh My Max, the concert was freaking amazing! I had so much fun! I’ll start from the beginning though.

We drove south to Worcester, Massachusetts from Maine, leaving around nine in the morning. Which is wayyy to early for me. About an hour into the ride, I realized I forgot the camera! So after a few hours of reading magazines, talking, and snacking we stopped at a target. We bought two disposable cameras, and a pack of white shirts for the band members to sign.

A couple hours after that quick stop, we arrived at our hotel. We saw little eight year old kids fighting, haha. Our hotel was about two block from the Palladium and we drove passed it and some people flipped us off because they thought we where staring and laughing at them when we weren’t. I was fangirling.

At around 4:30, two hours before the concert, we decided to head down. We did our hair and makeup (including Andy Six’s classic scar). When we got in line we saw a bunch of other band members getting their stuff together, but Kierra and I were both kinda shy to talk to them, so Kierra just tried to get pics of them! We got there two hours early and met these awesome girls! They were our new friends for the night. We hung out with them the whole time. They were really nice too! Their names were Giules and Gianna.  We gave the security gaurds pizza, so they helped us out throughout the nigh, too. Also, Giules’ aunt got buddy buddy with Get Scareds tour manager We got a few connections, now, haha. While waiting, Kierra wrote my name along with her’s on the wall behind us. She added little hearts because everything else on the wall was swears and 4/20, haha. An hour before the concert Kierra and I got pics with the lead singer from MDE and Get Scared. They’re super nice!!

We pre-bought tickets, so we got in easily when the concert started. We still stuck with the girls we had met in line. We had front row, you could say. We ended up being pushed into being next to the speakers so by the end up of the night my ears killed and I couldn’t hear a thing. On top on that, I couldn’t hear any of the songs so it made it hard to sing along. All it was was loud noise. I was still fun.

Get Scared:
They were the first band to play and they are SO good live. One of my favorites. Johnny B, one of the guitarists, decided it would be fun to jump off the balcony at the end of their set. He ended up jumping on top of a bunch of girls who had only shown up because of Andy. My mom was so worried about Johnny that after the show she awkwardly dragged me over to talk to him. He’s super nice and the only reason it was awkward was because I looked horrible. My perfectly straight hair had become something like a troll dolls hair style.

Vampires Everywhere:
At first, I wasn’t too fond of them. I had never really heard of them and wasn’t really into their music when I looked them up, but after seeing them live and meeting them my opinion completely changed. This being my first concert, I really didn’t know what to do with my hands. I reached up for a high-five from the keyboardist and he reached down to hold my hand. It was awkward because when I pulled my hand away after a second he awkward had to play it off, like “yeah..”. Ended up having a killer show and someone ended splitting their forehead open.
Modern Day Escape:
Again, another amazing band live. James Vegas, the vocalist, sounds exactly like Ronnie Radke. It’s great! Shep, the bass player, was wearing the same shirt he wore in the Maybe Holding Hands Wasn’t Such A Good Idea video. He ended up taking it off and Oh My Max does he have a great body.

Black Veil Brides:
At last the moment I had been waiting for at arrived. They came on and immediately I could feel all of the girls push forward trying to get as close as possible to Andy Hello, world, Andy isn’t the only member of BVB and Kierra and I got separated a bit. By the end of their set I was literally sitting on stage with the band in between the amps and my mom said I looked like a little kid in a candy store. It was wonderful. They played songs from the new album that was set to drop the next day, so most song no one knew but for ones that we did know we all shouting in full force.  You haven’t heard a song until you’ve heard it sung by 500+ people. About half way through their set Jinxx pulled out his violin and they played “Mortician’s Daughter”. It was beautiful. Now whenever I listen to the song on my Ipod I think of Andy standing in front of me saying “If you got a cellphone or a lighter pull them out!! I want to see this place light up like a mother fu**in’ Christmas tree” ANDY HELD MY HAND!! During the line “ I love you more than I could ever scream” I’m fangirling over the memory so badly right now it’s almost embarrassing. It was short but the best moment of my life. He also did his sexy infamous half-smile. If I had died right then and there I would have died the happiest I’d ever been in my whole life.

After the show:
Before BVB ended their set, Giana and Kierra ran up with my mom and Giules aunt so we could get first in line for the meet & greet. BVB had us waiting for 20 minutes. My mom made an awkward joke to the people standing in front of us who were looking for their friend named Kaitlyn, too. “Oh, she’s right here!” They looked back and were like “uhh” and I was like “I’m sorry. You know how parents are” I ended up talked to the people in front of up while waited and Giules aunt thought that Kierra and I had known each other since we were little even though we had only known each other for a little over a year at the time.

When BVB finally came out for the signing everyone went crazy. Oh my Max I hugged them and actually talked to them! I got all of the signatures twice plus the members of other bands on a white tshirt I bought. One of the members of VE! thought I was asking him to sign my arm at first and I was like “Why would I want to you sign my arm? That’ll wash off” To give you an example of how nice the bands were. Nick, the vocalist of Get Scared, was sitting in with a group of fans just talked when we left the venue. Outside everyone was just chilling. James Vegas hit on my mom and so did the drummer of VE. To this day I still don’t know about how I’m supposed to feel about that.

Kierra got 11 signatures on to butt of her jeans. It was silly. Two people wouldn’t do it because she’s a minor, but it wasn’t like it was meant in a creepy way. Just a silly way, haha. I got hugs from everyone was confessed my love for Shep cause he’s a bass player. He loves me too, haha. Overall, I got 20+ signatures that night and it was lovely. I got over my shyness and ran right up to the Get Scared van were Lloyd was hanging out and got his signature. I’m pretty sure I got a roadies signature, but I would have felt rude if I didn’t ask everyone else who was in the van to sign the shirt. I mean I don’t know actually who was who because it was dark.

Once we got back to the hotel we tried to go to sleep but that didn’t work. The next morning on the way home we stopped in Portland to pick of the BVB album that had dropped that morning.

*Kierra was grounded because she’s “out of control” because she got the butt of her jeans signed. :/

The Dead Masquerade Tour: February 12, 2011.

On Tumblr I was asked to write about my concert experiences. I need something to post about on here so I'm writing what I posted on Tumblr, here. I think by doing this it will help me be able to reference stuff, too. I've been to, technically, three concerts total: Warped Tour (July 17, 2011), The Dead Masquerade Tour (February 12, 2011), and The Sacred Cermoney Tour (July 19th, 2010.) This is the recap of my second concert I went to:
Warning: It's kinda long.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I had been waiting for that night for literally four months and it was finally so close that I could almost taste it. I was fangirling all the way down to Worcester.
The Friday before the show, I skipped school to get to Worcester quicker. You know, to beat traffic and such. When we, my mother and I, left my dad was sick so my mom felt bad for leaving him. That didn't last long. When we finally got to Worcester it was about 3 in the afternoon and we were both tired. We checked in and hung out at the hotel. Around dinner time we ordered food from some Italian place and the delivery man that came up to the room looked exactly like Jeremy McKinnon from A Day To Remember. It was awesome. After that we just chilled for a while. Watching television and stuff. My mom started coughing really badly and ended up not sleeping at all that night. At about 9:30 I finally went to bed because I knew I was going to be getting up early the next day, but between my mom and the caffeine from the two full 20oz Pepsi that I drank 10 minutes before bed (stupid decision on my part) I didn't really sleep.
Saturday morning came around and the reality was finally setting in. Oh my Max, I'm seeing Escape The Fate tonight! Once we got up we went looking for a pharmacy to get something. We ended up finding one and getting lost for an hour and a half trying to get back. We found an amazing bagel place and I fell in love with it. I wish we were able to fine it again while we were leaving, but we couldn't. At least we can say we tried. After we found our way back we chilled for a little while. I found out that Escape The Fate was going to be signing the cover of Outburn magazine, so my mom thought that meant we had to look for a place to buy our own copy when I told her over and over again that they'll hand a copy out. We spent an hour looking for a Walmart and then another half hour trying to get back. The whole time my mom was complaining about how bad the driving was.
After that we drove past the Palladium (the venue) to see how many people where already waiting. I saw James, the person I was meeting up with, in line and instead of going back to the hotel and waiting another 3-4 hours until it was close to the show I got out and waited with him for 6 hours in the freezing cold. It was worth it though. I met some cool people in like. One of them came off as a total jerk when I first met him, but turned out to be really nice and saved me a couple of times when the crowd was fighting and pushing. My mom ended up not going inside with me because she felt really sick. So she went and waited in the car. I felt bad because I knew she must have been worrying the whole time. She kept CALLING me during the show, too. And that's a huge no-no.
Once we got inside me and James got front row. Well I guess you could call it that. We were a few rows back, but for the most part I could still see. I was so excited that I barely noticed the pain the my toes at they began to warm up. After that this is how the night went:
Drive A:
The first band to play was a band called Drive A. I hadn't heard of them until then, but I guess you could say they were okay. Everyone was still defrosting so we all kind of stood there during their set. May I say that the lead singer tried his hardest to get the crowd to move around and all. He managed to get a small mosh pit going for one of their songs, kick me in the face while he crowd surfed, split the crowd in two and get James and I separated, and whip me in the face with the mic cord when he "joined us." I was kicked a lot during their set because, once again, their lead singer tried to involve us and wanted people to send the crowd surfers up front. I have never had so many people lifted above my head as I did that night. Thankfully I'm short and was able to duck down when they brought someone up.
Get Scared:
They were amazing as usual. Though being short became my usual enemy because I wasn't able to see at all. I still had a good time because I was able to sing along with Nick because I wasn't near the speakers and could hear. The only other bad thing about their set besides not being about to see was the fact that I was so squished that I couldn't move. Like everyone started jumping and because I was pressed in the middle of four people when they jumped I jumped. That's how close I was. After a while I couldn't breathe and thankfully their set ended soon after that because people loosen up. While the next band was setting up James found me, but that didn't last very long.
Motionless In White:
They were the third band to play and honestly, the scariest. I love the band and the members, but their set was scary for me. So many people above my head! I am now really scared of feet because I was kicked so many times. Half way into their set I gave up fighting everyone around me and just let it take me whereever. Five minutes later I regretted that decision because I ended up on the edge of the mosh pit. Unlike in Drive A, Motionless In White had one going their whole set. I was pushed and pulled into it six times and each time barely managing to get back to "safety" without being hurt. On top of that, I some how ended up standing in front of where people were being lifted up. I was t-bagged so many times it wasn't even funny -.- Because I couldn't move my arms I ended up having to bite people who landed on top of me because they wouldn't move. Shame on me. I just wanted MIW's set to end so I could leave that area. Once it was over I booked it the back/stair area.
Alesana:
I found a good spot where I could stand and watch the show without being pushed and pulled in all directions. I was also able to watch the area that I was before and I seriously don't know how I survived that. I met this guy with liberty spikes that makes David's mohawk look like something a first grader would have. It was amazing. I was able to find him when he went into the mosh pit and when  he came out it looked like someone had deflated a balloon. I was only able to sing to one of Alesana's songs mostly because I don't know very many of them. I found that once I got away from the mass I had a way better time. After their set was a 35 minute wait for the next and final band.
Escape The Fate:
They had us waiting for 35 minutes, but it was well worth it. They started off with their album intro, Choose Your Fate, and everyone started chanting. I felt like a cool kid. Just saying. After that was Massacre, followed by 10 Miles Wide, and Day of Weckoning. I loved being able to sing along with them because last concert I was near the speakers and couldn't hear a thing. Craig's voice-- Oh my Max! And I thought it was heavenly on albums. Lives it's just hnnnggg. After that Craig gave a little speech and then they played Zombie Dance, Something, another speech, Issues, Gorgeous Nightmare, You Are So Beautiful. For a "last song" they played Situations. It was amazing. They went of stage and everyone started chanting "one more song" and Craig, being the silly person he is, would run on stage, the crowd would cheer and then he'd run off again. He did that three times and they finally came back on. They played This War Is Ours (The Guillotine II) followed right after with The Aftermath (G3). After that the show was over. I would say that their show aren't for someone who has epilepsy. So many flashing lights it was crazy. On a sad note, one of the first things I noticed was that Max wasn't there and the MIW bassist was filling in. I was sad, but I got over it.
After the show:
While waiting in line someone came down and gave a green bracelet to the first 100 people in line and told them to go the lobby when the show was over. Because of the time I got there was one of those people. We got in line at the end of the show and a woman came down giving everyone a copy of Outburn. Finally it was my turn. Sitting two feet from me was Craig Mabbitt, Robert Ortiz, and Monte Money. I tried my hardest not to fan girl, but ended up crying (which is something I've never done) They signed the cover and I got to hug all of them. OH MY MAX!! I HUGGED CRAIG MABBITT! They were so nice! People are always saying that Craig is a total jerk to everyone, including his fans, but I don't see where people get that impression. He was very nice to me. I asked Robert for a hug and he was like "Come over here and give me a real hug!". Craig was like "Thank you for coming to the show." and Monte smelt so good! It was heaven. Finally meeting people that I've looked up to for so long. It would have been better if Max was there, but he's sick so it's understandable. It's not like he was being a jerk and purposely missed the signing. I almost mentioned about driving all the way from Maine, but I didn't because I was tried of "playing that card" for everyone. I wish I talked to them longer though.
During the wait for that my mom called me and she wanted me to hurry. She was sick and waiting in the car. Needless to say I wasn't able to fangirl to her because she was mad. She had a reason though. Once we got back to the hotel I pretty much went to bed right after.
The next morning, today, my first waking thought was "AHHHHH, I hugged Craig Mabbitt last night. I touched him. Oh my sweet mother of Max." After I woke up I got ready and we left. Now I'm sitting here typing this fangirling over the memory while I should be doing my US History coursework.
And that is that. [:
